Summer Solstice Celebration in Chorlton

On Wednesday 20th June, you are invited to celebrate the Summer Solstice at The Horse and Jockey on Chorlton Green...

Last year arsonists destroyed the hay bale Stonehenge so The Horse and Jockey has decided not to tempt fate by planning another one! However, they will be teaming up once again with Manchester circus performers Illuminaughty/Foolish Rogues and their merry band of stiltwalkers, street theatre, crystal ball manipulators and fire eaters to present A Midsummer Night’s Dream, culminating in a specially choreographed fire show when the sun sets at 9.42pm. Inside the pub, Psychic Horizons will be doing palm and tarot readings.

Add to this some live music, new age stalls, food and tribal face painting for the kids and there's themakings of a great night once again. The event will begin from 6.00pm onwards, but please note that some entertainment will not take place until it starts to get dark!
