Bop Local - Christmas and New Year 2011

Bop Local - Christmas and New Year 2011

Following the massive success of previous Bop Local events, we’re pleased to announce the Festive Bop Line-Ups for 2011...

The concept behind Bop Local is simple - it is essentially ‘a local night for local people’. The idea is to start early, have lots of fun and a darn good time, without spending wads of cash on drinks and taxis in and out of town plus & the bar is pretty cheap too!

Resident Bop DJ, Phil Beckett, will be joined by an array of Guest DJs over the festive period, creating perfect nights - whether you want to stand around drinking and chatting, or dancing the night away!

UP & COMING BOP EVENTS...

Saturday 26th November at Chorlton Irish Club, High Lane, Chorlton - guest DJ this month is Tom O'Toole, the man behind Bop (and your very genial doorman!). Tickets can be bought online - http://boplocal.com, from On The Corner on Beech Rd or on the door.

Wednesday 28th December sees The Bop Local Christmas Party at The Moor Suite, Heaton Moor. Inspiral Carpets/XFM's, Clint Boon returns as Phil's special guest DJ for the night. They'll be playing some of the best tunes of the year along with some classics to get everyone dancing. Just what you will all need after a few days of Christmas cabin fever, turkey and too many Quality Streets!

Tickets for the Bop Local Christmas Party will be £10 via http://boplocal.com or on the door if you get there early!

Friday 30th Dececmber Bop returns to Chorlton Irish Club, where they'll take over ALL of the club for the Not New Year's Eve Bop Local. On the ground floor Phil will be assisted by Graeme Hawley (aka the deceased John Stape from Corry) who will be spinning a few of his favourite tunes. Upstairs Mark Smith will be taking charge of The Chorlton Allstars - a selection of DJs from the Chorlton community who will be spinning some of their favourite tunes throughout the night until 2am. The Allstars include: John the Milkman, Dr Wilson (the Bop Locum), Victor (The Barbakan's Deli Lama), Steph (On the Corner), Tim & Jim (the XFM breakfast show team), Sarah Hewitt (Queens of Beech Rd), Gnash (Brookburn's funky TA), plus Simon Rimmer (TV chef)...all 'Chorltonites' who love their music!

Tickets for the Not New Years Eve Bop Local will be £8 in advance via http://boplocal.com, from On the Corner, Beech Road or on the door.
